Opened in 2001, Sacrilégio as it is more commonly known has become a firm fixture on the live music club scene in Lapa, but as the former abode of composer João Pernambuco and hangout of Vila Lobos and Pixinguinha, its place in the annals of carioca musical history was already confirmed. Live music from Tuesday to Saturday, an outdoor space for the balmy summer evenings and upstairs DJ lounge make for quite the multi-faceted venue.
