Visited this bar at the end of our last night in Rio having spent the evening in Lapa. It being a Sunday it was one of the few places open and with an atmosphere. It was all locals and seemed friendly. How wrong we were... After a couple of drinks we decided to leave as we had a flight the next day, and after paying the tabs on our cards the fun began. I was immediately pushed to the floor by a large security staff member who pulled me up and began shouting in my face in Portuguese. When I asked him to calm down, speak slowly and explain the problem he proceeded to pull me into the club where he continued to scream and shout at me. Speaking very little Portuguese, I asked if anyone on the staff spoke Spanish or English and could translate, but instead they just seemed to get more and more angry and push, hit and shout at me and my friend more and more. For the next hour the staff were physically abusive, rude and intimidating with no explanation of what we had done. Eventually it transpired they believed we hadn't paid and although we tried to explain we had, all the staff refused to believe us and began restraining and abusing us when we tried to leave. Eventually my friend paid our bill for the second time and as we were leaving the same incident occurred. We were restrained and abused and extorted into paying more money to the security staff. We were even threatened that they would call their friends at the police who would make sure to find drugs on us if we didn't pay. Eventually what should have been a fun night ended with us being hurt and robbed, and left to walk through Lapa at 4am with no money back to our hotel. Do not go here of you are a tourist. ------ Visitei este bar no final da nossa última noite no Rio de ter passado a noite na Lapa. Sendo um domingo , foi um dos poucos lugares abertos e com uma atmosfera. Era todos os moradores e parecia amigável . Como estávamos errados ... Depois de um par de bebidas , decidimos deixar como tivemos um vôo no dia seguinte , e depois de pagar a diversão começou . I foi imediatamente levado ao chão por um grande membro da equipe de segurança que me puxou para cima e começou a gritar na minha cara em Português . Quando perguntei a ele se acalmar, falar devagar e explicar o problema , ele começou a me puxar para o clube onde ele continuou a gritar e gritar comigo . Falando muito pouco Português, perguntou se alguém na equipe falava Espanhol ou Inglês e poderia traduzir, mas sim apenas parecia ficar cada vez mais irritado e empurrar, bater e gritar comigo e meu amigo mais e mais. Durante a hora seguinte a equipe estava fisicamente abusivo , rude e intimidador sem nenhuma explicação do que tinha feito. Eventualmente, verificou-se que eles acreditavam que não tinha pago , e quando tentou explicar que tinha pago , todos os funcionários se recusaram a acreditar em nós e começou a dominar e abusar nós quando tentou sair . Finalmente , meu amigo pagamos a nossa conta para o segundo tempo e quando estávamos saindo do mesmo repetido. Fomos detidos e abusado e extorquido a pagar mais dinheiro para o pessoal de segurança . Fomos até ameaçou que iria chamar os seus amigos na polícia de que estariam a certeza de encontrar drogas em nós se não pagar . Eventualmente, o que deveria ter sido uma noite de diversão terminou com a gente ser ferido e roubado , e saiu para caminhar pelo Lapa às 4 da manhã , sem o dinheiro de volta para o nosso hotel. Não aqui você é um turista!!!!
