Rua do Teatro's beautiful old Carioca Cultural Centre was the infamous Dancing Eldorado club from the 1930s to the 1960s, frequented by the likes of Chico Anísio and Elizeth Cardoso. Since then the building has become synonymous with popular culture, and contemporary greats including Mart'nália, Beth Carvalho and Pedro Luis have helped turn it into a very special venue.
