While this boteco recently had a bit of a makeover, there is no mistaking the traditional nature of Boteco Carioquinha. A family-run business open since 1966, the unique selling point here is the menu of more than eighty beers from around the world. The food menu is a no-nonsense Brazilian selection of classics but it is easily eclipsed by the ales. If you are struggling to choose, a well-trained team of waiters are on hand to give advice so keep in mind that imports in Brazil are always noticeably expensive, and this certainly applies to the beers here.
