Three branches of Barril 8000 exist in Rio, all in Barra da Tijuca. Large and lively, they attract a young and rowdy crew filling up on beer and food before getting on down to the varied music programme that attracts some big names from the world of samba and pop (from around 10pm). DJs will spin everything from funk carioca to US rap and r'n'b chart-botherers.
