The beach end of Botafogo has become a little Cinelândia of its own what with Estação, the SESC Espaço and Unibanco providing some independent flavour while Praia Botafogo Shopping takes care of the blockbusters in the top floor of the mall. Opened in 1985 as a small cineclub, Estação's three screens hold a tidy little selection of lesser-known releases and arty treasures on the big screen.
