A clear favourite among Copa's drinking masses, the 'Blue Peacock' is in fact not a Police Academy-inspired gay bar, but a died-in-the-wool hole-in-the-wall with an undefinable magic. Serving up chilled garrafas as though their lives depended on it as well as some lauded bolinhos de bacalhau (R$3) (cod balls like you have never tasted before) and pasteis (R$3.50) (dont get swizzed by the number of prawns in there), getting a table is tricky but sitting down isn't really the point, just grab a bit of pavement and while away the hours.
