Dark and dingy, the Lord Jim is a throwback to British pubs of yesteryear, which is no doubt part of the appeal for some cariocas. The only real attraction for visitors is the varied menu of sport on the pub's numerous plasma screens making it a good place for European football matches, rugby and cricket, especially at weekends when somehow it gets packed even on the sunniest of afternoons.
