This elegant house in Jardim de Alah on the border of Ipanema and Leblon has three large dining rooms and a wine cellar with space for some two thousand bottles. The menu delivers classic Italian cooking with the emphasis on seafood, with all breads, pastas and even ice creams freshly made on the premises. The scallop garganelli and shrimp bavettine complete with creamy prosecco sauce are highlights, and the deserts are exceptional. Bear in mind that they only accept cash or cheque or be thrown into an embarrassing situation at bill time.
