Classic furniture abounds at the Ateliê Belmonte, thanks largely to the restorative works of owner Luciano Cavalcante de Albuquerque, an architectural and interior specialist and professor with an enviable collection of classic chairs, tables and sideboards. Large, framed photos of some killer carioca scenes (R$1,000-R$5,000) can be picked up, but the chairs steal the show, ranging in price from R$500 up to R$6,000 for a slice of Brazilian designer history.
