Metrô bus Cobal do Humaitá
Humaitá has developed quite the reputation for culinary excellence in recent years, a trend no more visible than in Oui Oui, a grown-up dining experience that serves a little bit of timeless charm with its neat portions of global flavours. Located in one of the neighbourhood’s remaining colonial mansions, the main dining area is divided into an art deco-inspired space and a ‘70s kitsch (more in keeping with its sibling, Miam Miam) bar complete with mirrors and retro pool chairs.
Small portions are very much the order of the day, allowing customers to build up their own, personalised lunch or dinner without having to go through the remortgaing effects of a tasting menu. Twenty-two such dishes make up the dinner menu, ranging from the macaroni cheese (in keeping with the kitsch vibe but every bit the food envy-inducing enemy of the food snob) to lamb crostinis, caramelised ribs and risottos, all served in an array of pots and pans almost as pleasing as their contents. Lunches are taken care of with a three-course menu of the day (R$32.90) and a good selection of salads, soups and pasta.
