Good luck getting a table at this honest quasi-saloon Botafogo bar of an evening, but dont be shy if it looks a hopeless task, just wedge yourself in for a good look around. Upstairs there may be room in between pool tables or spilling out onto the balcony overlooking those standing on the street where groups multiply and absorb one another until you cant distinguish who came with whom. An excellent selection of imported beer is served bracingly cold and refilled adeptly by waiters in perpetual motion, while the picanha is one of the best around, making it an excellent lunchtime option at the weekends as well.
