Cervantes has been serving what many consider the best sandwiches in Rio since 1959, so if the man behind the counter offers you a slice of pineapple with yours, go for it, he knows what he is talking about. Two things can be tricky about the place, however. One is getting in and out without any unpleasantness, especially in the wee small hours when the streets can be dodgy but when, ironically, Cervantes sees a rush of punters. This is a part of Copacabana, after all, that's also home to pimps, prostitutes and drugs, but a little awareness should get you through fine. The other thing is deciding what to order from the impressive list of options.
