When this restaurant emerged on the scene in 2003, the health-food concept had not yet made headway in Brazil. Eight years and eight branches later, Wraps has become one of the São Paulo’s favourite snack bars. The New York loft look adds an air of sophistication to the light meals – fresh salads, tasty smoothies and the salad granola (invented by chef Carole Crema), all of which have quickly gained a loyal following in a city, and indeed a country, that can often be dominated by meat and carbs. Here you can have your cake and eat it too, with the award-winning apple cake with cinnamon ice-cream.
