This Karate Kid themed bar is packed it with just about every possible nod to the ’80s martial arts film, with waiters sporting white headbands, an autographed film poster on the wall and even film clips distracting those on essential business in the bathroom. Sunday night is the time to go, when brave souls take to a small stage to sing karaoke backed by a live band, watched by crowds of beautiful youngsters. The menu is another nod to Nippon, with sake and Japanese dishes for sharing, such as cubes of salmon or tuna sashimi, speared with cocktail sticks. The battered squid is delicious – but give the soggy edamame a miss.
