Bar do Museu is currently closed for refurbishment

This retro-style bar is right next to the Copan – Oscar Niemeyer’s curved concrete apartment block. It’s also where the Friends of the Museu de Arte Moderna meet, and recommendations don’t come much higher than that in São Paulo art circles. To find it, walk down the narrow street between the Copan and towering Edifício Itália until you see a door marked ‘Bloco C’. Head through the door and up to the first floor. Note that you need to be inside the building by 9pm, but it doesn’t close until 10pm.
