One of the most modern theatres anywhere in the city since its reopening in 2002 having been closed for nearly 25 years, Centro's Maison de France attracts polished, big-budget plays, and in turn some of the best-known contemporary actors from both stage and screen. The cinema club also shows some excellent arthouse films but it is worth bearing in mind that late-night shows are best reached via taxi in this part of the city.
