Let’s face it – Brazil is a carnivore’s dream, and lunchtime buffets are often dominated by the holy trinity of meat, rice and beans. But buffets are a reliable option to fill up on much-needed greens, particularly at this smart spot in Itaim, which goes the extra mile and bases its menu entirely around salad.
Start with a bowl of lentil soup before moving on to the salad bar. Oddly unimaginative as it is, there’s enough on it to make up a satisfying salad lunch, or you can accompany the raw stuff with a piece of delicious Saint Peter fish or tender beef or chicken, fresh from the grill. Add a glass of juice and voilà: the perfect balanced lunch. The soundtrack is as yummy-mummy-friendly as the food.
