Mexican food, or in this case Tex-Mex, may seem out of place this far south in the Americas; but if comfort Mexican food strikes you as a welcome respite from the manic energy of South America’s land-locked megalopolis, this traditional restaurant is the place to come.

It serves a complete all-you-can-eat lunchtime meal for a set price of R$29.50-$34.90, and what you expect is what you get: the guacamole, salsa and sour cream are always on the table, and the tacos, burritos and quesadillas are served with chicken, meat or vegetables. Order the chilli first, so you can use it as an extra sauce with your meal; otherwise it tends to be brought out to your table last. Informal wooden folding tables and chairs dominate the interior. The drinks are inventive, but the creative flair raises their prices as well.
