Galeria Transversal, which opened its doors here in Barra Funda in April 2011, opened a new branch in Vila Madalena in early 2013 as part of a reorganisation that saw the young owner, João Grinspum Ferraz, buying out his former partners to go it alone.

With the Vila Madalena branch now the main gallery space, this original venue has become an occasional exhibition space, a place for courses and events, and the gallery's 'acervo', or back room storage space. Check before visiting, since only occasional exhibitions take place here.
