We’re always up for a sandwich, so any place taking its sandwich-making seriously is going to get our attention. With the slick air of a US or UK lunch spot, once you get down to it, Godere is actually a classic, multi-purpose SP bakery albeit with good branding.

The sandwiches are tasty and filling – we tried the Traidor (‘traitor’), with roast beef and mozzarella – and the hot specials seemed a hit at the packed communal tables. Too bad we had no room to try the British lunch staple – baked potato (R$17.90).
