There are few more truly 'carioca' ways to spend Sunday in Rio than with a hearty feijoada - pork and bean stew - and some even heartier samba. Miranda, the Lagoa's new food, music and theatre venue, combines the traditional with the chic, serving up two rounds of bean-based goodness and three live sets of music from the Samba Social Clube every week. Bringing together some of the greats from the country’s favourite genre, the likes of Panela di Barro, Zé da Velha, Silvério Pontes and Ana Costa are regularly invited to hit the stage.
