The purple canopy hanging over the front of Amazônia Soul gives away their speciality - cup after cup of virgin-press (yes really) açaí direct from the state from which they take their name. For the princely sum of R$10 you won't find any slugs of guarana syrup here either, just 300ml of purest açaí and all the anti-oxidant goodness that granted it superfood status but you could never understand how given the sugar-rush from most servings. To really enter into the spirit of things you can have tapioca or farinha d'agua (manioc flour) mixed in too, just don't go telling any Pará natives how much you paid for it.
Besides the frozen berries are other treats from the region like caranguejo com farinha (crab with a farofa-style dusting), best washed down with a can of Jesus guarana (beloved of the people of Maranhão state) and followed by ice creams conjured from weird and wonderful fruits like the orange-coloured, kiwi-sized Taperebá.

I really felt like Amazonian People. All the products comes from the North and they have a authencity of the Açaí. Really the best of the world.
