Fashion designer Flavia Aranha’s style is striking but unpretentious, and her creations have excellent green credentials, too, being free from chemical dyes – one of the most polluting aspects of the textile industry. Her organic cotton pieces (sleeveless T-shirt start at R$189; and a long skirt at R$359) are cut with simple, geometric lines, and complete nature’s own rainbow of pastel colours. The clothes aren’t cheap, but surely being well-dressed and guilt-free is priceless?
