Book releases, signings and short pocket shows (half-hour musical programmes) all feature at this beautiful little bookshop, in the middle of the luxury shopping district. It also contains a nice (but often packed) café. The branch at Alameda Lorena is a concrete grey construction by architect Isay Weinfeld. On the inside, the brutalism recedes as books win out.

A slick, spacious branch has opened in Shopping Cidade Jardim, and the latest to complete the set is in Shopping Pátio Higienópolis, also designed by Isay Weinfeld.
