For anyone who has lived in a Starbuck'd town the coffee shop needs little introduction, but arriving for the first time in Rio in 2010, in the chic surrounds of Shopping Leblon, it managed to conjure up queues and chaos with ease. Now a little more established the service has straightened itself out and you can get a frappuccino that more resembles that you'd find in Europe or the US. What it does offer is a comfortable little time out in the mall's main hall, and a chance to settle into a leather chair and check your emails, still something of a rarity in Rio. Also find in Rio Sul and Botafogo Praia malls.
