While the steep hills above Leme make this chalet-style house something of a quest to find at first, they do also provide a rare chance to escape the bustle of Zona Sul and enjoy some (relative) peace and quiet. Named after its Mexican owner, Lisa’s hostel has 32 beds divided between six bedrooms (sleeping 2-8 people). Slipping into the Brazilian way of life is made easy with the fresh fruit breakfast, fortifying Caipirinhas at happy hour and the numerous hammocks in the top tower that offer interesting views of the nearby favela.
