Bairro Peixoto, tucked away in the otherwise hectic Copacabana, is an unlikely corner of small-town serenity in one of the most densely-populated neighbourhoods on the continent. Still only a fifteen-minute walk from the beach and close to all the local clubs and shops, the Santa Clara is a cute little hotel with basic services and simple but charming decoration in single, double or triple rooms. The best rooms have cute balconies overlooking the street, an ideal place (if you ask nicely) to take breakfast.
