It may have only arrived on the already busy Rio ice cream scene in 2011, but Vero's direct links to Italy's frozen riches have already helped it become a hit on the streets of Ipanema. The artisanal (in other words expensive) gelateria's claims to pure ice cream are well placed - the Tuscan chef's pistachio recipe is straight from Bronte in Sicily, world capital of the famous nut, no less. The selection changes daily but expect to find around 25 different tempters in the chiller, ranging from the ever-dependable Belgian Chocolate to the delicilously lumpy Pannacotta.
