Heloisa Amaral Peixoto took a beautiful colonial-style house and turned it into an equally impressive gallery over two floors, the renovations earning a design award and providing her a suitable space for showing large-scale sculptures and installations. Since 2001 HAP represents and exhibits artists including Beatriz Milhares, but there's no name on the door - buzz the intercom to get in.
