Opened by the now internationally renowned Ernesto Neto, Márcio Botner and Laura Lima, A Gentil Carioca is breathing new life into both its neighbourhood and Rio's art scene through provocative exhibitions, artistic exchange and educational projects. Supporting young artists is at the heart of everything the gallery does, with its large external wall regularly given over to a new mural or installation.
