Decked out in a smart, kitsch Americana style, this small, unpretentious US-style burger joint is a comfortable, well-managed spot that doesn’t try to be too many things to too many people. The result? A damn good burger that’s priced a touch more fairly than many other comparable São Paulo burgers. Fans of poivre will genuflect at the kitchen door after devouring the excellent Pepper Crust burger (R$28.50) – 220g of pepper-charred beef with Swiss cheese, grilled onions, crunchy potato sticks, pickles and Dijon mayo. Paired with the excellent fries and chased with raspberry lemonade, it’s a combo that teeters precariously on the brink of shock and awe.
