Famous for its century-long history in football, rowing, swimming and gymnastics, the Flamengo HQ in Gávea also offers much more besides, so partake in a pilates class, use the well-equipped gymnasium or try jiu-jitsu, judo, ballet, jazz, tennis and most unlikely of all, lawn bowls, mere moments from both Leblon and the Lagoa.

Tickets to Flamengo games can be bought from the club shop. The Maracanã will once again be the team's home ground in the second half of 2013, but with their temporary home at the Stadium Rio also closed, home matches are currently played a two-hour drive outside of Rio at the home of Volta Redonda FC (voltaco.com.br) or occasionally at the São Januário stadium.
