'Nooch' as it is pronounced by the locals, is one of the busiest clubs in the city, attracting huge crowds at the weekend to Barra da Tijuca. There is, however, a smaller, younger sibling on the Lagoa which struggles to attain the same kind of popularity despite the undeniably attractive setting. The beautiful people flock from all over the city to the pop, hip hop and house-centric Friday and Saturday nights, with slightly more specialist events during the week like Monday's 'classics' night Flashback and Tuesday's Festa Hippie, where funk and country music rub shoulders.
