When the Chemical Festival brought the UKs Jamie Jones to Rio back in November, he was still dance music encyclopedia Resident Advisor's reigning number one DJ. Fast forward three months and he has been usurped by Seth Troxler, who just so happens to be the man Circoloco have chosen to headline their Rio Music Conference party at the enormous, and excellent, Centro club The Week.

Troxler's eccentric personality sets him apart in a scene sometimes lacking in such things, in keeping with his DJing style. Not so famous on the production front as the friend he knocked off the top spot, this is a man who has relied more on his knowledge and skills as a DJ to make a name for himself, though as a label boss his shared imprint Visionquest is one of the most forward-thinking around.

DJ Sneak has unfortunately had to pull out of the line up, but Matthias Tanzmann together with DJ W!ld complete a top-notch selection of international DJs, whilst the local boys and girls are represented in the shape of DJ Nepal, Flow & Zeo and Leo Janeiro. For the house and techno heads of Rio, this is a no-brainer.
