The shop inside the Museu de Arte Moderna (MAM) may be small but stands apart from the city's other museum shops for its jewellery – look out for pieces like the silver ‘Curves’ choker, by designer Paula Mourão, which can cost upwards of four figures. While the MAM shop carries designer pieces by many renowned Rio-based jewellery designers, there are also plenty of affordable choices, such as books, T-shirts and baseball caps marked with the museum’s simple, three-letter logo, some of which can also be bought online (mam.org.br/produtos). The shop also does a good line in bags in the museum's signature red, nude and and black colours, from square neoprene to ecobags.
