The cult of techno-brega is back with a vengeance in Ipanema thanks to the three-piece band Uó and their terrifying trio of 'taches. Well, the singer doesn't have one, but she and her sidekicks Davi Sabbag and Mateus Carrilho either have their tongues firmly planted in their cheeks or have been brought up on far too many melodramatic '80s pop videos for their own good. Strangely addictive if something of an acquired taste, their videos have won over a legion of fans, not least the master of the Twitterverse Diplo, so they must be doing something right, we're just not exactly sure what. The resident DJs Polly Marinho, Felipe Mar and Suzykill will be steering the I Love Pop ship through more familiar waters later on.
