The first luxury hotel in Barra da Tijuca when it opened in 2003, the design affords every one of the 292 rooms at least a partial view of the Atlantic Ocean. It is of course at its best from front-on though, and there is also some variation between the quality of bathrooms and room size so take a look around if you have time. The restaurant is fine but somewhat limited, but the leisure facilities are excellent, with a beautiful pool, playground, gym and spa. Also has an on-beach service akin to that of its sibling in Leblon.
