This bar, the name of which roughly translates as “I don’t care”, on the corner of Farme d’Amoedo with Visconde de Pirajá is at the true heart of Rio’s gayest street since Bofetada moved out of fashion. If it were empty, nothing about the nondescript, no-frills wooden interior would tell you that it is the main LGBT destination on Farme, but the location tells another story. During peak times such as New Year and Rio’s Carnival, the crowd spills out into the street and it can be difficult to successfully manoeuvre past, not least because of the distraction caused by the boys and girls sitting outside. Thankfully, despite occupying this prominent spot, Tô nem ai is reasonably priced and has an extensive cocktail list.
