A forty-minute drive west of Rio lies the little naturist beach of Abricó in the Grumari nature reserve. The far left of the beach is where the men tend to congregate, so to get there head beyond Barra and Prainha, and as the road rises uphill find the trail through the rocks at the top, following it down to the sands. There is no public transport though, so a friend with a car is essential - you might get a cab to take you out there, but you'll be hard pushed to get one back, and the surf bus stop is a good 40-minute walk away.
