DJ Tutu Moraes is best known for banging out Brazilian beats at São Paulo’s itinerant club night, Santo Forte. What’s less known, however, is that the DJ also makes a mean moqueca (fish stew), Bahian style – one of the best we’ve ever had, even – with a delicately seasoned sauce of coconut milk, onion, tomatoes, palm oil and coriander. Try it at Moqueca do Tutu – a monthly gathering with Moraes, where an arty crowd gathers to while away the afternoon sipping on caipirinhas between trips to the buffet table.
